Day 30

I have a good and bad habit of blogging within a few hours of running. It’s good, because it captures my running-related emotions when they’re still pretty raw. But it also… captures my running-related emotions when they’re pretty raw. Take yesterday for example. Sure, I freaked out a couple times on my run, and I was hobbling around a bit afterwards yesterday, but no reason to get all dramatic, right?

Right. Blogging about running pain is sort of like going to Whole Foods when you’re hungry… there’s no way to do things halfway. So I apologize, both retrospectively and in advance, for my whiny attitude from time to time about all things running. Overall, things are going well, and several times now I’ve blogged about aches and pains only to have them disappear within the day. I’m not saying I’m going to stop doing that, because while the pains may be temporary and they’re certainly not unexpected, I’m still enduring them β€” but I’m going to try to keep some perspective.

BURN tonight β€” a new teacher β€” and then I’m looking forward to making an easy dinner and reading a bit. I’m reading Joshua Ferris’ newest (The Unnamed) which got bad reviews, for good reason, I’m discovering. I don’t particularly feel like finishing it, but I hate to put it down midway through since I paid for it in hardcover. Lame.
